Focus your attention on positive things...Yes there is negative stuff happening, but also many positive things and most media choose to focus on the bad. Turn off the TV, change the ratio station...
Encourage participation in school contests with prizes for everybody not just the winners.
Encourage your teenage son/daughter to travel abroad for a semester or join the peace corps. We need wordly citizens.
Buy proven natural remedies, whenever available for your condition, to help you improve your health (e.g. treat your high cholesterol naturally).
If you own property and have tenants, charge a fair amount that is win-win, don´t try to maximize your profit.

Do not ever, ever, lie in any way to your customers with misleading information.
Prioritize buying food (and everything else) only from socially and environmentally responsible companies.
Do not abuse your employees (timewise) because you pay them a salary. You do not own their lives, just the 9-5 slot. True life-work balance must be in place.
Seek inspiration as to how you, or your business, can make a positive impact in your community.
Do not abuse return policies. Do not buy it if you do not plan to keep it.
Your heart has always good ideas, listen to it...and then put them out there. Be a creator not just a consumer.
Do not honk in a traffic jam needlessly. You will not get to your destination any sooner and you will be stressing people around you.
Never yell at a referee.
